In Summary
The Certificate in Theological Studies is a one-year program allowing the student to develop critical thinking and personal reflection in the field of theology. The objective is to provide a general theological culture. The core of the program involves a overview of the Scriptures, the main currents in the history of Christianity, and fundamental questions related to Christian doctrines and practices. Students will gain familiarity with research methods in various theological subject areas (exegesis, history, ethics and reflective theology).
In order to get the C.T.S. one must:
- Attend all courses of the program;
- Write the dissertation (DTHY 9710, p. 25) connected with one mandatory course of the program;
- Successfully pass the written and oral exams in each courses of the program;
- Fulfill the above-mentioned requirements within a maximum period of 5 years.
Requirements
In order to be admitted to the C.T.S. program, one must have completed studies at the High School level (or the equivalent) with an average not inferior to a C.
